Due to work situations related to his job outside of Hart High School, Coach Mike Gomez will be unable to continue coaching Hart girls soccer. I would like to thank Coach Gomez for doing an outstanding job for the players and the school during these past four years; his leadership has been instrumental in our success.
Moving forward, I want to assure our players and parents that it is our top priority to find a highly qualified coach for the program. We will post the opening, screen applicants, and conduct interviews as thoroughly and quickly as possible. Our interview panel will be composed of our athletic administrator, our athletic director, a returning varsity player, and a parent from the program. During our transition period, both Coach Gomez and Coach Kiernan will continue to work with our girls to make sure we are ready for season. Once our new coach is hired, they, along with our athletic director, will also communicate with the new coach to ensure a smooth transition.
Once again, thank you to Coach Gomez for all he has done for our girls and the Hart soccer program.
